Quick question about emissions

I found a 1992 Z28 that I'm interested in. I ran a carfax check, and I noticed that it's had 5 emission tests over the life of the vehicle. Is that normal? If so, why would they have to test the emissions so many times? The vehicle has very low miles, and from the pictures I've seen the body looks to be in very good shape. I'm planning on seeing the car in person over the weekend. I was just kind of wondering about the emission tests. I don't want to end up getting stuck with a car that's going to give me any problems. Thanks....

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Depends on where it's been.

Some places, they test every year; some places, every 2 years; some places, not at all.

So I'd say, yeah, seems pretty much within the realm of ordinary possibilities to me.

And if the car owner moved from one area to another, that may require an additional inspection. Five inspections is not inordinate.

Thanks guys....

It's had an emission test every 2 years according to the carfax report, so they must test every 2 years where the vehicle is located. We never test where I live, so that raised a red flag.

Is there any other problems that I should look for when I go to look at the vehicle this weekend? It's a '92 Z28 with a 305 with 58,592 miles on it. It's been about 7 years since I've owned a Camaro, so I was wondering what some common problems are for Camaros with that kind of milage.
