runs like crap

I have a 89' firebird, 305 tpi 5-speed. Problem is the car is running rich and causes the car to stall out all the time. Almost every part(except for the ecm) has been replaced. This has been ongoing for a few months and out of that time the car ran perfect for about 3 hours out of know were. Any help would be great.

If it's running rich, maybe your spark plugs are getting fouled with fuel?? Can you start it right up after it dies, or do you have to wait a while? If it starts right up again, the plugs are most likely fine. I had a problem where mine were fouled with carbon/gas....the car eventually wouldn't run at all when they became too fouled out.

Yes the car will start right up but not without putting the gas pedal to the floor.

vacumm issues maybe?

have you checked the vacumm line going to your egr valve? I had a issue very similar to that and I had the vacumm line come off the egr valve from the engine shaking.

Yes I did check the vacumm line as well as replacing the egr valve.

I take it you replaced the IAC when you said most parts have been replaced. That can cause it to stall. When you said that you have to keep your foot on the gas to keep it running, that's something many people do when their IAC is bad. I had to do that on mine.
