i was wondering if the cam in a 91 305 has a lobe on it for a mechanical fuel pump thanks in advance

 

I don't beleive so. I pulled the cam out of the original 305 TBI engine in my 92 Camaro and there was no fuel pump lobe. I looked at a cam from an 87 L-98 TPI motor and it DID have a fuel pump lobe.

I asked around on this board about it maybe a year or two ago and the general consensus was that somewhere around 1989-1990 GM stopped putting the fuel pump lobe on it's production line cams in EFI motors.

Depends on what it came out of. Alot of truck/van TBI 305s had a fuel pump boss on them.

 

it came out of a 91 rs it has a blockoff plate over where the fuel pump mounts

 

My '90 LO3 cam had a fuel pump lobe. IIRC the 91 and 92 f-body LO3 cams did not have the lobe.
