question

hey yall, im new here. I just bought an 87 firebird. now im no expert on f bodies at all. im a corvette and G body man. but i know that in 87 they used carbs, butthey were CCC's. the car i have has a carter carb on it. nowwhere the firebirds also computer controlled as far as the carbs? and used a quadrajet? or what?? Also does any1 have a diagram as to how all the emissions stuff gets routed? car also has none of the emissionsstuff, and i need to reinstall all of it to pass inspection. Thanks - Roger

I thought that 86 was the last year of carbs on production f body cars.

1987 was the last year model that the F-body had carbs.
Other car models (not F-bodies) were available with carbs thru 1990.
BTW, my '88 has a carb, because like those on ebay, it has had the engine changed.
The 87 birds used a CCC Q-jet unless it was a Canadian car. Then it's anybodys guess.
Good luck rounding up the emmision stuff.
It would probably be easier to ship it down here to Alabama where we don't give a rip about the emission and buy another car.
