How long do you run it before you shut it off?
I mean, if you start it, backed up your driveway, turned it off, then tried to start it, would it start?
Or do you have to drive it for say 1/2 an hour then turn it off?
How hot is the engine getting? Does your temp gauge work?
Does it crank fast or very slow when it cranks?
Do you have headers?

Well I can get in it run up the road a half mile or so come back turn it off and try to start it and it wont do anything but crank and crank until it gets completely cold and the temp goes up to about 220 but never hotter than that.

If it were me, I would check two things first.
There is a temperature sending unit for the computer.
Try unplugging it then starting next time it won't start.

2nd. might be vapor lock. Try measuring the fuel pressure at the fuel rails.

You might also want to try to unplug the o2 sensor next time this happens and see if that makes a difference. but don't ground it or burn yourself.

Thats just off the top of my head.
Thinking that if item 1 or 3 are not working correctly, they could be feeding the ECM the total wrong message.

Just guessing at this point, but test / eliminate / test some more.. always a good start.
