90 rs question

i have a 90 rs camaro it didnt come with a steering column but i found a column out of a 95 camaro that fits and has the chip key got it all hooked up turn the key everything works but it wont turn the engine nothing some people say i have that vats security and that i need to get my computer reprogrammed anyway i can just bypass the whole security system and get the car running? any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated because im very unfamiliar with VATS thanks

Check the tech article section. I think this is covered in one of those. I'd keep it if I were you. I knew a guy who had his '91 Camaro broken into three times and the VATS is the only reason he still has it.
