is it possible/feasible to retrofit ABS into a thirdgen...

From what I understand an ABS system is legally only allowed to be installed by the factory. This could be why you dont see many aftermarket kits or guides on how it can be done. If it can be done I would be interested but just seems like a topic noone wants to discuss probably for obvious reasons. Here is a diagram on how they work. The toughest part is probably getting the spindle with the abs gear in it or an older style speed sensor to work.
