specs...?
Power output?

How about... Lame? 180HP, 220TQ or so. In stock trim they are boat anchors! But luckily, every hot part that is made to fit an SBC, fits them well, and the extra cubes amplify the power gain. Don't even dream of using it bone stock, a tuned up L69 will run circles around it.

That's about right. And they only made them from 1970-1980. Give or take a year.

There are a few differences, such as shorter connecting rods 5.565 Vs 5.7 if memory serves), steam holes in the block and heads, two piece rear main seal, larger diameter bearing journals, longer stroke crank, etc.

As I understand it, the two bolt main version is better than the four bolt blocks. The two bolt versions seem to take an over-bore better because the walls are slightly thicker. Someone can probably post which casting numbers are on the best blocks, I've forgotten them over the years.

The rod journals on the crank can be turned down and off-set ground to give a little more stroke too.

4.125" bore - 3.75" stroke

Hope this helps.

Jake
