How does the stock fuel pump turn on and off?

What turns the fuel pump off after pressure has been achieved? Is there some way to wire this in with my A1000, so it isnt on all the time?

the ECM triggers the fuel pump relay.

when you turn the key on, the ECM kicks the fuel pump on for a set peroid of time (not a specific pressure)... usually this is like 3 or 5 seconds. (i dont remember the specific time, but its in the tune)

as long as the ECM recieves a RPM signal from the car, or if the oil pressure is good, it keeps the pump running.

you can use this feature with your pump by retaining the factory relay setup, or by having the same relay trigger wired hooked into your new fuel pump relay.

Well im leaving the stock pump in the tank for now until I put a bigger motor in, could I run them both off the same relay? Running one relay to the next, but using of course power from the battery to the pump?
