Depends if it has a limo (LSD) in it. Limo specific oils have friction modifiers in them. If it's an open diff (no LSD) get normal fluid. Not sure of the best weight though, although most of em are pretty heavy. Use a good quality synthetic (if u can get it/afford it) as well.

"Best" at what? Meeting manufacturer warranty requirements? Making the differential quieter? Protecting the works from wear? Lasting the most miles? Making lofty claims with no foundation in the real world? Making your wallet lighter?

As James implied, there are almost as many opinions as there are opinion holders. Personally, I use AMSOIL Longlife 75W90 synthetic in my lighter duty daily driver applications (contains the friction modifiers for limited slip diffs), and Extreme Pressure 75W90 synthetic in my towing and racing applications.
