how to adjust roller rockers

I have a 383 hydraulic rollers and I sheared a stud on one of my roller rockers and I would like to do the work myself instead of paying a garage. please help. the stud is 2 1/2 in with 1.6 rollers it was my number 8 cyl.

The are thread in studs?
ok, so replace the stud, then just put on your rocker until it's at about the same height as the others. Leave that valve cover off, and start up the motor, use oil deflectors if you can grab a set. Then you'll hear it ticking, (or maybe not), back off the nut on #8 until its ticking, then tighten it up until it stops ticking, then add 1/2 a turn. It's called setting valve lash, you can do a search for the other methods, if you want to do it while the motor is off.
