computer
do you know if the computer changed at all for a carbed 305 from 1984 to 1987?
Yes, there were different ECMs between 1984 and 1987. In fact there are different ECMs in 1984 for the LG4 and the L69. I beleive the later ECM is the better one, mainly because it was supplied with the GM 350 HO conversion to replace the original in the 1984. Hope this helps.

does the 350 and the 305 have the same computer then?

nevermind, i just thought about it and realized that the 1987 350's are TPI and not carbed like the 305's.
