trans am serpent belt?
my 89 trans was makin alot of noise this morning when i started it up before school today!it sounded like the belt! it got really loud when i was down the street soo i turned around at drove home! well it died out on me about 2 feet before my drive way. soo i think it might be the serpent belt!but i dont know where the tensioners are or how much the belt is roughly gonna cost!if anyone can help it would be appreciated!

The tensioner is at the front top of the engine just to the right of the smog pump. It's attached to the AC/smog pump bracket.
I believe the belt goes as high as $35. You can get cheaper ones though.
Even if your belt was completely gone your car should still run. You would only lose your power steering and water pump.
