Fuel pump replacement...84 T/A..Need advice.
Hey guys,
My fuel pump is leaking gas on my 84 Trans AM and I've got a slight problem.
I bought a GMP fuel pump from JEGS...here's the link below. However, it doesn't even remotely look like the one that's on the car. The main thing is that it doesn't have the return line like the stock replacement does. The second problem with it is that it doesn't have the spouts to clamp my fuel hoses onto. It only has a 3/8"-18 inlet and outlet. Will this be a problem? Do I need that fuel return or should I just suck up the 80 bucks that I paid for it and go by a cheap stock replacement from Autozone?

Jeg's has always been really good to deal with for me; I think you should call them and tell them what happenned. They usually try to make things right...
You really should hook up the fuel return like it was from the factory. As for the line hookup for in and out, you can buy a short hose barb fitting to go into the fuel pump from NAPA or most any auto parts store so that you can hook up your rubber lines.
Good luck!

I will try that. It's been a while since I ordered it, I can't find the receipt anymore but it's all together and I have the original box. I'll give them a call and see what I can do.
