egr switch
my stock 86 firebird has always had drivability problems. i have rebuilt the carb replaced all the vacuum hoses and emmision equipment ect. to no avail. recently while i was taking the motor apart for a valve job, new cam and aluminum intake i noticed the egr switching solenoid seems to have a hose missing in teh back. the problem is i did not take it off so i dont kno were it goes. the 3 things that are hooked up are: vacuum hose to carb, vacuum hose to egr, and the electrical connection. can anyone tell me were the last vacuum hose goes? or if this would even matter? or if i can just cap it off and it will still work fine? any help much appreciated

There's no other hose.
The other port is a vent; such that when vacuum is removed from the EGR valve, air has a way to get back in, so the valve can release.
Don't cap it.
It's supposed to have a little foam cube for a filter.
