what springs to use in AFR heads
i got myself a set of new afr 195 eliminators (for only 1200 canadian i might add
) . I"m expecting to have to upgrade the springs for the size of cam i want to use. I want something just under 600 lift. the motor is going to be a fuel injected (hsr set up) with a 406. I was looking at comp cams fuel injected ones, the XFI. and would probably use there biggest one. i believe it was a .590 lift of some kind. just wondering if anyone recomends a spring specific for a hydraulic roller of that size.
cheers

I think the comp 987's are what you'd be looking at. See what spring is recommended by comp for the cam, I think the 987 would be it.
Nice deal on the heads, where'd you get them?

For springs, this is what is on AFR's website
1.290" OD Hydraulic dual valve spring w/ dampener, 130lbs on seat AFR #8017 .600" maximum lift (upgrades available) Comp Pkg #8019
As for the cam, I have the same heads, so I am going with the 280xfi with my 383. I think the lift is 0.576 int./0.570 exh. lift.
For your heads, were they assembled? If so, they have the springs that are mentioned above.
