Steering Play
Adding on to my first post...there is something I can start working on. Where do i start with my steering/suspension? The steering wheel is cocked slightly to the right while going straight, and there is about 2-3 inches of play left to right. It also vibrates kind of bad above 80 miles per hour. Any idea where to start?? Thanks

yes have the balance checked on your tires if they are old and are starting to dry rot dont bother get new ones... if that doesnt solve the vibration start looking into your driveshaft... but i think the driveshaft you would notice well before 80 . check for play in your ball joints grease them while your down there... as for the steering wheel sounds like Mr shade tree did his own front end alignment

You will need to check the entire front end out. Jack wheels off the ground and see where all the play is. More than likely you will find tie rods (inner & outer) & idler arm worn. Check ball joints & control arm bushings. Wheel cocked to one side usually means something bent - check the circumference of both rims to see if there are any dents. Perhaps it may have bounced off a curb or 2. I am sure once you check out your car's underwear, you will see your problems.
