Error code 22 - Updated problem
I'm getting error code 22 now and the car idles very rough. I believe this is the TPS. I checked the voltage and it was at .53 volts and the recommended is .54. I noticed that the highest the voltage would go at WOT was a low 4.something volts. I think it should be around 5v shouldn't it? At idle my BLMs have also shot to 150 in closed loop mode but as soon as I give it any gas, it goes right down to a solid 128-129.
Does this sound like a bad sensor or bad wiring or what?
Thanks!

7 views and no responce? I would say, the fact that it still runs, it could be the sensor or the adj. If the adj. is tight, and you've owned the car for a while with no problems, I would replace the TPS. I realize the price of the new TPS is probably scaring you so here is the alternitive, #1 go to the local U-pull yard, find a couple of TPS sensors, and stuff them in your pocket. #2 buy a 5 dollar part so they won't be the wiser. Or, #3 pay the price of a new one and pray it's the problem. No BS.

It died after I pulled up to a stop once a few weeks ago. It definitely has wanted to die a couple of times during real slow parking lot and traffic cruising, but it has only actually died once. This has been going on in small amounts for the last few weeks but only got really bad Thursday.
I did adjust it, but failed to check what it was before the adjustment. I adjusted it to the recommended factory settings as I mentioned in the first post.
The voltage seemed to register perfectly smooth up and down so it just all seems a little strange to me. It idles at .53v, just not very well at all. There was heavy surging on Thursday, but I let it idle up to closed loop today (Friday) and while there was no surging, it just ran very poor. On Thursday I think the TPS was set too low, because I adjusted it that day to get home and it ran a little better.
So, does this sound like the sensor is bad or perhaps a wire is bad or something else entirely?
Thanks again for the replies guys.

It seems that the only reason the code was thrown was because I unplugged the tps to see if that would help the horrible idle. Once I reset the codes, there is no 22 thrown now. The tps voltage is smooth and is set where it needs to be. This makes me think that the tps is not the problem.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Re: Error code 22
Found out it was a vaccum leak after all. Thats why I don't just start replacing parts!
A new $0.99 hose was making the car run like ****. Got it fixed though. Thanks for the help guys.
