Re: fuel pump question... helllllpppp.

Replace the pump. Plugging the hole risks forcing the fuel into the oil pan. That could cost you an engine as opposed to a $14.99 fuel pump.

Speaking of expenses, at around $2.80/gallon for fuel, you'd probably leak more $$$ than the cost of a pump in a week.

Fuel pump.

And by "Replace the pump" I should have clarified that you should make absolutely certain "your girl" is not in the area when you change it out. Gasoline contains heptane, benzene, and some other "nasties" which will not be filtered by the placenta. Inhalation is all that it takes to get it into the bloodstream. You don't want to have an otherwise inexplicably brain-damaged fetus. There are already too many Honda drivers out there, and you only get one chance at getting it right.

Good luck on both projects.

My 82 Camaro had the same problem. Fortunately those fuel pumps are cheap and easy to get at and replace. It should be a 10 minute job, but don't forget the gasket and silicone. Good luck.
