i need to get a new balancer, a sfi one for the track. right now i have an oem 8" external on my 383. could i just install any external balancer any size without it being a problem? i was looking at ATIs 7" super damper.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: Changing Balancers

Yes that would be fine. Unlike some other things, size is not important to this.

Only thing is, since it's a 383, you'll need to determine whether the engine is internally balanced or externally, and choose the balancer accordingly.
