Timing Tab
I have a 90 RS that has a 350 TPI from a 90 Z28. Would the timing tab have been at the 12:00 or 2:30 position? I feel stupid, but when I converted from TPI over to Carburetion, I lost the timing tab and forgot what position it came from. I'm one of the many lost souls with one of those O'Smiley special chrome timing tabs, and now can't read my timing correctly. This particular one is mounted at the 2:30 position. Is it the correct one or do I need to find one that mounts at 12?

Best thing to do is to pull the front pulley & damper bolt/washer off and look at the keyway relative to the TDC timing mark. If they're pretty close to lined up, you need the 2 o'clock tab. If the TDC mark is to the left (counter clockwise) of the keyway, you need the 12 o'clock tab.

Re: Timing Tab
Alright, I will do that.
Does anyone even sell a tab that goes in the 12:00 position? Or would I hafta go junkyard hunting?

Re: Timing Tab
Tabs in the 12:00 position are welded to the cover. There's no reason why you couldn't remark your balancer to work with any tab you wanted, though.
