I've had the car problem from hades! I've no codes, but found something interesting. My map sensor is reading 4.76 @ idle, or Key on engine off. When I start my car, it runs as if it only has 4 cylinders! NO codes, right. Now, I have a 2 bar map sensor that belongs to my timing retard for my supercharger. I take it off my crane box and i put it on the stock harness and I get 2.33volts at idle or koeoff. My car actaully idles a bit better, not a whole lot, but it atleast runs. I get a code 33 after I use that map sensor.

What is the voltage supposed to be for idle and wot at the map sensor. I thought it was around 1.5 for idle and 5v for wot.

Thank you!!!

This has always been fairly close:

What is the actual vacuum reading at idle?

Vader- great chart! That's getting screen-scraped into my collection!

Yes, for a stock motor, about 1.5V at idle and close to 5V wide open is in the range of what I'm used to seeing on my scan tool. And it lines up pretty much exactly with Vader's chart.

I have something going on! My map sensor @ key on, engine off is 4.8 When I try and start teh car, the map volts go up to 4.88. my car is running on 4 cylinders, at least it seems to be NO codes, fuel psi 43.5, spark is there I think maybe something is messed up in the wiring.
