Guess this part...

I could take a pic if needed - but I'm curious what a certain part is called... I already pulled it from the car, so if I did take a picture, it would have to be two of them - just hoping maybe someone knows off the top of their head...

1988 Trans Am - 305 TPI

It's a 3 way vacuum connector - one connection goes into the Throttle Body, next line to the Cruise Control Servo and the other connects to one of those plastic vacuum lines and runs into the firewall I do believe.

It's obviously some portion of the control for the Cruise, but I haven't a clue what it's called.

I found it was 'repaired' with a bit of electrical tape, when I pulled off the tape, it just fell apart, lol. Although, the car started to idle nice and smooth when I plugged up the vacuum leak.

Re: Guess this part...

Sounds like the heater control valve, off the top of my head. Could that be it?

Yeah. Sounds like the check valve. I believe GM calls it the Cruise control/hvac check valve. I had to get one before. Wouldn't hold vacuum anymore.

Yep!! Thanks a ton

Yeah - it pretty much just fell apart once I took the tape off, couldn't even really get the hoses off the remainder of it without it just falling apart.
