Speed Demon 750 or Holley HP 750???
I need some good advise here...new to carbs.
The current motor is a 383, 10.1 CR, Trickflow heads, 230/236 .544/.555 112 hyd. roller.
I am debating between a Speed Demon or a Holley HP carb for the motor. With all things considered what would be best for me?
Both are rebuilt and both are double pumpers without chokes (but the Demon still has the choke horn).
The Demon comes with a braided fuel line kit and a fuel gauge as well as the carb studs AND the factory warranty!!!
The Holley is just the carb so I would need the fuel lines, gauge, studs and NO warranty.
Putting Demon's bad quality control issues aside I'm leaning towards the Speed Demon. Speed Demon with all the extras is about $450...
The Holley is about $410.
HELP!

Re: Speed Demon 750 or Holley HP 750???
The Speed Demon sounds like the better deal of the two but I'm not a big fan of Demon carbs. I've seen too many quality problems with the Demons but they do work well for some people. If you could afford it I would look into getting a new Holley HP or Proform..I think the Proform 750DP carbs go for about $500. I saw on Jegs that they are selling rebuilt 750 Speed Demons for $395.
