No idea...
No idea...
I have a 1986 TA. Recently had the AC changed out and all fixed up. The other day a light other than the service engine soon light came on. I do not have the manual and have no idea what it is. I thought it was the carburator or choke, something of the sort. It's two vertical parallel lines with a diagnal line from the top left to the bottom right. At the same time a strange buzzing sound is coming from the steering column that cannot be ignored. When the AC is on the idle rpms drop to about 500, and with AC off it is around 700ish and the buzzing stops. Also while running AC the volts are dangerously low. I wasn't sure if there might be a problem with the alternator or something completely different. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Aboard!
The warning lamp you describe IS the choke heater warning. If the choke heater element is intact and connected, that's an indication that the charging system is not working properly. You cna see how they are related in the diagrams:

The "buzzing" near the base of the steering column could be the choke heater relay, or something unrelated.
