of course.... gotta watch the cam lift... if there stock dont exceed .470 and depending on valve covers etc u might need self aligning/ narrow body

stock cam for now just got the 1.6 lay around being used for nothing

should be ok... the stock vortecs arent screw in studs so they might pull out... i would install screw in studs to be safe and i think u need the self aligning rockers

If they are GM vortec heads make sure you drill out the inboard side of the pushrod hole for clearance or the pushrods will rub.

You can get away not doing this. It would be the "safest" route, but I've never heard of anyone having troubles before. Vortecs can handle up to .480" lift. Make sure you have self aligning roller rockers (unless you've got pushrod guides). Drill out the pushrod hole.

You also may need to modify your valve covers if the roller rockers hit the part where the valve cover bolts go through. Some RRs are real wide. You'll figure it out though. Good luck.
