BBC Build
We are beginning a rebuild of our BBC motor, and the person who is doing my machining has recommended that we use a K1 Technologies forged crank and Rods. Up until that point I had never heard of that company. I have been searching the Internet a great deal and I have not come up with very much on this company. What I have found is that the company was recently purchased by Carrillo. Carrillo has a very good reputation for high quality rods. Does anyone here have any experience with K1?

Re: BBC Build
Never heard of them. I use an Eagle 4340 internally balanced crank and H-beam rods in my engine. There's only a very small handful of cranks and rods not made in China. Many including Eagle are made in China then machined in the US.
Unless you're building 1000+ HP, don't worry about the brand. Just make sure all the machine work is done properly. Even the best cranks can break.
