fusebox or steering coloum

bout 2 weeks ago all my lights went out.....got some fuses fixed them, now they keep goin out.....bought new head lights cause i thought the bulbs were bad, pluged them and are very dim still. steering coloum or fuses??

The headligjht circuit only goes through the dimmer switch in the steering column. You can test for voltage drop in the headlight circuit right at the connector at the column base. If there is more than about 0.15V drop, the dimmer switch may be failing. That wouldn't explain the fuse failures, however, since the headlights are not fused, but protected by breakers and fuse links.
