just like the title says runs fine until i hook up est wire. i've set base at 0 , 2 ,4 btc same thing runs really good until i plug in the tan wire.

 

Take off the dist cap and see if the contact on the tip of the rotor is knocked off and pointing sideways.

Why were you dinking with the "timing" in the first place? Important to know, because since it basically doesn't just up and change itself all by itself out of the clear blue (and therefore is not normally a productive thing to be dinking around with unless it's known to have been disturbed), if it was right before and didn't get moved, then it was still right, no matter what the blinky light shows.

well, the car use to start and run fine .then one day it refused to start ,then my" gm" buddy said it was the dissy ,since it was still under warranty i just took it back for a new one .well ,anyway ,it was the fuel pump all along .now its doing this.???
