FUEL PUMP PULSATOR
what the heck does the fuel pump pulsator do? I recently replaced my fuel pump in my v6 firebird, and i replaced the pulsator with a piece of hose....is that ok? I really have no idea what the pulsator does, anyone got any idea what the heck it does?

Re: FUEL PUMP PULSATOR
It quiets the noise from the pump a little bit. It also restricts some of its output. Removing it is the best thing to do.

Re: FUEL PUMP PULSATOR
When I put my Walbro 255 in the car would jerk a little. I pulled the tank back out and removed the pulsator. I replaced it with a peice of fuel injection hose and my car ran perfect. That was 5 years ago. I dropped my tank last year to replace the sending unit(to fix guage) and the hose was still working perfectly.
