How do I find out how fast it is? Please help!
Hi,
This isnt 3rd gen related but it is camaro related. Please help. I didnt know where to post so sorry.
My girlfriend has a '67 Camaro SS 396. I was trying to find out what the stock specs were for it. (ie. 1/4 mile time and speed and 0-60 times) I've searched google and cant come up with what I'm lookin for. Can anyone help. We are both curious to see what it says. If anyone can point me in the right direction or just happens to know please let me know! Thanx!

'67 Camaro SS 396
What is the car, REALLY?
What kind of brakes does it have on the front? Exactly, in as much detail as possible.
Problem is, there's ALOT of cars like that out there, where people have taken plain Camaros or whatever, and added badges and sometimes even some of the parts, to "clone" the highly desirable cars. Which sounds like what you've got there; except that since there's no such thing as a '67 SS396 (the SS396 was introduced in 68, the only SS model in 67 had a 350, and that was the ONLY way to get a 350 in 67), it can't exactly be a "clone". It's more of a "fantasy".
All that aside, IF it had existed, it would have been a mid-high 14s car at the time, like most of the rest of the leaf-spring / big-block / bias-ply-tire cars; about like a Firebird with a 400, or a '68 SS396.

So this site is making s*** up? Look at "1967 Production" Does it not say "L35 Camaro SS" and "with 325-hp Turbo-Jet 396-cid engine"?
I've seen many other examlpes of these as well. I've seen them at car shows and plenty of other places. Hell I have the latest issue of "Old Car Trader" sittin right in front of me and theres several. THree of them say #'s matching all original. Are they liars and all of them are clones? Not trying to start something but maybe you are mistaken?
