Magazine brand vs. Name brand
Magazine brand vs. Name brand
I am curious if anyone uses magazine brand items instead of the name brands that they also sale. They seem to offer most power creating items such as heads, cams and such. I was going thru some of my reciepts and started to wonder if using Summit/Jegs version instead of name brand, could have saved me the cash with same performance results. Anyone have thoughts, comments, testimonies?

Re: Magazine brand vs. Name brand
we all know for a fact that jegs/summit arent making there own castings or even doing any of the work... although you might lose alittle of the performance of some namebrand part... you probably will make up for it in savings....
my summit airgap knock off for vortec heads cost 189... and i was very very impressed with it... see edelbrock even come close to 189

Re: Magazine brand vs. Name brand
I use summit for LOADS of stuff. Cams, and heads i'd prefer to leave to the "pros". However, gasket sets, bearings, valve covers, TC cover, tools, etc etc etc are summit for me.
