still shakes after balance
i have a 383 ,when i put it together i used the stock harmonic balancer and flexplate and it shook bad.i got it balanced and the guy said i needed a 400 balancer but nothing about the flexplate, i put it back together and shakes a bit in idle, not smooth like the factory motor, is also 10.5 to 1 comp ratio and i have poly mounts on engine and trans. any comments

If you needed a 400 balancer, you probably should have needed a 400 flexplate as well, unless your engine is some kind of perverse creation.

he builds lot of engines, and he balanced the set with this plate. will it be unbalanced with the new plate?
