Hey Im just doing some research into 3rd gen camaros and performance upgrades in general. Im located up in Anchorage, Alaska. I come from the minitruck truck scene(s10s) so i know a little about a lot of things. One of the things I've always wanted to do is drop a blown 350 or 383 into a 3rd gen, now that I've moved away from trucks i think I now have an opportunity to throw money elsewhere. Where do I begin? Is there a certain year of the 350 that I should be looking at? I've been looking at the Weiand 250 blower, does anyone have any experience with these? Basically I have very little actual engine building knowledge, I have tons of auto body and suspension(because thats what most minitruckers do haha) My basic plan is to pickup something like this:

Before I do a high performance build I want to pull the engine, tear it apart and put it back together so I get a feel for doing it. Since 350s are so cheap and I'm looking at going forged internals anyway I thought it would be a good learning experience. So thats pretty much it, I'm here to learn! Hopefully I'll have my current truck paid off(daily) by spring and so i have a long time to learn and get a parts list together. Thanks!
