LG4 Tune Up

Just purchased my first F Body. Car idles a little rough. I want to start with a tune up. What are better than stock wires, cap rotor or are OEM parts just fine? Anything else I should check or replace?

Re: LG4 Tune Up

Stock replacement stuff works fine.

Do a search and read up on how to set your base ignition timing properly with the computer controlled distributor. Once you've done that go check yours. Stock setting is 0*. Most find that the LG4 runs a lot better if you bump that up to about 4* or 6* BTDC (advanced).
