whats going, fellow camaro drivers, here i am again seeking some answers for another problem i am having with a 92 305 with TBI,i have replaced the computer, and i replace the dis, and i rebuild the TBI,now my problem now is im not getting any power the injectors, the fuel pump is pumping, and when sprayed derect into the TBI she starts.what could be stopping the powere to the injectors.any thoughts about this would be greatly appricted

have you checked the fuse and made sure the injectors or plugged up good? if so id start by testing with a test light or volt meter and see if you have power to the injectors and if you do check the resistance on the injectors with a ohm meter and make sure they are good
all the fuses are good the injectors are good, their is no pluse going to the injectors from the plugs,,i was just reading about the chip in the key being bad, which is call a vats, what does vats stands for,as i was saying as long as i was spraying into the TBI she will run, after reading that about the vats i was wondering, could that be the problem
Voltage to the injectors is constant. The ground connection is pulsed by the ECM to fire the injectors. Trace why there's no power to the injectors from the power source.
Injector power wires are the red wire on one and the white wire on the other. Both wires go to INJ1 fuse.

vats is vechile anti theft system. If vats is the problem car shouldnt even crank I dont think thats your problem The chip on the key is a resistor. I would trace my injector wires down and make sure you dont have a short or broken wire what kind of ohm reading did you get on the injectors

Not true. ( hard knocks )Originally Posted by royslsbry

Still got your old computer ? I'd try that as a first step, unless you know it was trashed.
See if there's any power on both sides of the fuse. If there's no power to the fuse then the circuit from the fuse to the injectors should be fine. I'd guess and say the ECM provides the fuse power based on the VATS.

on my car which is a 92 tbi the vats disables the starter as well and you cant crank it
thats true but it also shuts down the injectors so if you did find a way to get around the starter shutting down it has a second defense
