Camshaft - Remove Front Nose?

On a '91 GTA, will I have to take the nose off the car to pull the cam out? I've never done it in the car before and wanna know what I'm getting myself into lol.

no, you just have to remove the radiator/ac condenser if you have ac. that should give you plenty of room to move the cam out.

i'm about to take mine out here soon and have it stripped to the block. plenty of room to sneak a cam in and out with out the radiator in there. Dont have to remove the front nose

yeup, don't need to remove the nose at all. I keep thinking one of the braces in front of the ac condenser got in the way for some reason. Its been awhile since I needed to pull a cam out.

Re: Camshaft - Remove Front Nose?

heres a picture when I removed my cam outta my 305 years ago. Yeah you have to take the rad and AC condensor out but also when I did mine one of the braces you see did get in the way of sliding it straight out...I had to unbolt one of the braces but I cant remember which one. ..Screw some really long bolts on the end of the cam to kinda make a handle to ease the removal unless you got a cam removal handle.
