Well, Sorta.

I just aquired this 85 Z28 last weekend, (Possibly an IROC)

It had been pretty hacked up by a previous owner. I believe he was going to pull the trans out of the car and put it into something else. Some things were just hacked off. Like the Fuel line to the carburator. Any how, the weather broke today an I decided I would go up and see if I can get the Car to fire over. The engine at this point is pretty torn down. only two bolts in the intake, valve covers off, carb off, water pump, ac compressor and alternator off, cap and rotor were removed. starter off. I know that was a big run on sentence. I put the starter on and found that someone had started to cut the exhaust with a grinder. (Figures) Right at the Y pipe. Put the cap and rotor on. Snugged down the carburator,(missing the gasket and since the fuel line is broke I figured I'd just pour some gas in and see if it would fire. Put plug wires on. Hooked up a battery and all of a sudden we had interior light..GREEN LIGHT WTH, some one put one of those green dome lightbulbs in. Weird. I poured some life giving drink down into this thursty 305. walked to the driverside and hit the key. turned over a tiny bit and it was off and runnin!!!! Then it died... Walked back out front. Put more gas down into the carb. Hit the key and it ran again. Starting like it had been warmed up. Something tells me that this car wants to run. By this time it was getting really windy and dark so I quit for the night. It a shame though. My plan is to pull this engine out and stick a 350 TPI down in it. I might play around with this for a while. The last time this car was registered was in 2000, The guy that had it before me didn't even try to start it. Just started taking it apart. He was told that it ran but the battery had died so he didn't try it. I have to see if something runs. So it dose!!!!
