EGR Buzzing
Hi everyone. I have another weird problem that I can't figure out. My EGR solenoid is buzzing when you put it in gear. When you give it throttle, the noise goes away. As you let up on the throttle it comes back. Take it out of gear and it goea away also. The noise is definately coming from the EGR solenoid, the one with the electrical plug and vacuum line leading to the EGR valve. What could be causing it? Bad solenoid or bad ECM?
Re: EGR Buzzing
I'd check to see if the ECM is trying to cycle it for some reason (causing the buzzing) by temporarily unplugging it. If it still buzzes then it's likely some issue with the solenoid itself.
At idle (in gear or not) the ECM should not be trying to open it - 0% duty cycle.
