Stuttering

Hy everyone, i have a 3.1 rs automatic and i've been having some concerns lately. It seems like that when ever i really step on it, the car seems to almost sputter and hesitate and the rpms flucuate a little. Im not sure if its because of the engine, tranny, or even the rearend. The car also shakes a little during this but once i get moving it acts fine. Anyone have any idea what is wrong? Its just started recently.

Re: Stuttering

If you haven't already, I would do a tune up on it first. (plugs, wires, cap, and rotor)

Re: Stuttering

thanks for the suggestions, i checked the spark plug wires yesterday and saw that the wires had rubbed together and made a hole so i repalced it and it works fine now
