this probly doesnt belong here but i dont know where to ask this question i looked at a 1998 z28 today it has longtube headers and a complete exhaust it has 70,000 miles and its an auto the guy is asking 7,000 for it but he said he removed the air injection? so the engine light is now on and he said now there is something i will have to do to get it to pass emissions do you guys think that the car is worth $7000 or what should i offer him for it or should i just buy another 3rd gen thanks for any help

 

Quick before the arrives:
The headers probably don't have the hookups for the AIR system. You would have to get new headers with the connections, install them (big PITA), and hunt down every piece of emissions crap that the dumb-*** took off and threw away. If the owner lives in an emission state and did that, he deserves to be stuck with the car. Get another 3rd gen. A lot of them are headed to the "crusher" and need to be "adopted".
If you buy that guy's car, offer him enough less so you can afford to move here to Alabama where we don't give a rip .

 

NO! I just paid $2800 for a 1997 Z28 - $7k is too much for anything! lol
