is my EGR toast.

hey guys. Friend of mine tested the EGR valve in my car with a vacuum gauge after I got my second code 32. He hooked up the vacuum gauge directly to the back of the EGR where the hose goes in and it held no vacuum. Did he test it correctly? Thank you.

Re: is my EGR toast.

That's how I tested mine. It's supposed to pull up the bellow in the EGR when you apply vacuum there.
I have an extra if you'd like.

Re: is my EGR toast.

I forgot to mention the car was just turned off. Not running. And again just hooked a vacuum gauge up to the back of the EGR..one of those hand pumps. created/held no vacuum. Can get a new AC Delco for 65 bucks...
