Head bolt question

Hey I am putting a set of 416 heads on my L98 engine. I can just use whatever bolts are recommended for the L98?

I was looking at these GM performance head bolts, are they any good? Another thing, it says it is a "set" does that mean it has bolts for both heads or just one?

Yup.... stock SBC head bolts have been the same for all stock heads (with only a VERY FEW exceptions), since 1955.

does that mean it has bolts for both heads or just one?
The pic shows a full engine's worth: 14 long ones, 16 short ones, 4 medium ones. FWIW. Maybe you could look it up in the GMPP catalog?

Re: Head bolt question

That is a full set of bolts but make sure to put sealant on the bolts that will hit the coolant jackets. The stuff on the threads from the manufacturer doesn't always seal properly and there is nothing worse than coolant leaking up through the bolts. Any non hardening thick thread sealant normally works well
