Check Engine...

Got a question for whoever can help. I have a 91yr, V8-305, TBI camaro. I recently replaced my throttle position sensor (for a problem that I had but it didn't fix it that is another story) and now I'm getting an error code 21 on my check engine light which means 'High voltage at throttle position sensor' has anyone seen this before? Is it a faulty sensor out of the box? Any ideas of where I can go next?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Re: Check Engine...

Does your tps have slots or just holes? If slots it needs to be adjusted to .54 volts. If just holes then check volts if bad, check how tps is installed. otherwise replace.

Re: Check Engine...

The TPS only has holes, I was surprised by this I'm used to the ones with Slots so you can adjust them. I will have to check the voltage that is a big help.

Re: Check Engine...

The mafs seem to have the adjustable and the sd the fixed. The sloted type can be used on both. Or file open the holes a little to tweak it in.
