rear end popping

Engine: 305 tbi, junk, freakin slow!
Transmission: 700r4... holds up =]
rear end popping

my rear end started making a popping noise and squating more to the right side, when i launch it hard. any ideas, any common problems?

Check the control arms and torque arm. Check the track bar (Panhard rod) and brace. Check the spring mounts. Check the universals. Something is probably out of line.

GM Posi units need to have a special GM lubricant additive. Without it they will bind up and pop when going around corners.

It goes in the gear lube. Same fill plug. If you don't know when the gear lube was last changed, now would be a good time to do it (regardless of whether that's what's causing your symptoms).

I'd say you also need to check your upper shock mount. They are known to break loose (mine did on the right side).

thank you guys for the help gonna check the shock tomorrow, because they put new shocks on it before i got it.
