fuel system upgrade
I recently purchased an 89 IROCZ that I'm throwing a 383 stroker with a HSR intake into and would like to upgrade the fuel system. I am dropping in a new tank cause the old one is kinda nasty, but I would like some opinions on what to do with the rest. I will probably just throw in the summit fuel system kit #SUM-PUMPKIT7A. But I'm not sure if the pump and filter will be good enough. Then I will have to fab up some lines for the HSR which I have seen on another thread.

That kit is just a 14psi carb style pump, you won't get enough pressure to run your high pressure fuel injection. And it's just -6 line, ie 3/8" same as you have stock. I wouldn't bother.
Just get a bigger pump in the tank and you're done.

I still would like to upgrade more on it, russel 1/2" tubing be a decent upgrade or should? I am looking at a 255gph edlebrock in tank pump and a summit fuel filter with a 100 micron filter. Other than that I have no idea what fittings and adapters I should get.

I don't think you'll outrun 3/8" anytime in the near future.
If you're planning a blower or nitrous or something big in the future, might as well, the tubing is about $30.
I think moroso has aluminum tubing in a 25' spool for ~$30. (1/2")
Then fittings based on whatever you're connecting it to, pump, filter, engine etc.
