Knocking Solved!!!

Greetings fellow Third Gen Enthusiasts!

Took my car over to a mechanic that was recomended to me by a friend.
So I tell em I keep hearing this rattling noise sounds like a bad engine knock but I really dont know exactly. I originally went because the Y-Pipe coming down from the headers was completely rotted out so I wanted to replace that. So we get her on the lift and he pushes up on the driveshaft and the whole transmission was moving up and down and the mount was obliverated!

Since that was fixed no more knocking.

For the Y-pipe being replaced, my exhaust sounds much butter and is running much better now, it had a few leaks.

Shes tightened back up after about 400 bucks! Should be good for another 100,000!

Re: Knocking Solved!!!

I replaced our trans mount a while ago, and it's already looking a bit dodgy. Next time, I'm going with a poly mount instead of the OE replacement junk.
