HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!! HELP!!!!!
I have a 84 Z28 5.0 HO Camaro, I'm having problems with the car when i take it for a spin, Well when i do give it some gas it likes to bogg down and then it will finally hit and then decide to pick up. I'am stuck!!!! I have determined that it is not the accelerator pump because it is getting plenty of gas. I have no idea where to start now. Help Plz someone help me out with this problem.

Very likely the throttle plate is finally ready to be brass bushed on the primary butterflyshaft. The original casting wears out over time and creates a big vacuum leak. When its getting close to being wore out, big, quick, demands for performance usually suffer first, once the engine catches up it will handle the leak better because it's not sucking on the plate body quite as hard, and can focus its draw for fuel from the venturi's above the leak more effectively.

Try starting up the car and giving the throttle linkage a quick, short, burst of WD 40 thru the red straw pointed at the shaft coming out of the carb body. You want to get some fog near the shaft not wash it down with fluid. If the rpm's get "really" happy you know its leaking vacuum preaty bad, though a "slight" rise should be normal.
