okay soooo heres the scoop in a little story
Car wouldnt run - bad fuel pump, i did it, car ran great for 3 days, then went to **** again. did a TPS, IAC, Tune Up, and found some bad gaskets. Car still wouldnt run. Took it to the shop found out i somehow put a hole in a connection from the new fuel pump i put in. Cost me 600 bucks but supposedly i have a new AC delco pump (wup D do) anyways the guy tells me everything is set but theres a high idle problem. I dont care if thats all the problem is so i take it home (well my friend and his mom did because i work so god damn much) so i get in to start it and it wont run. Call the guy up he says start with the IAC you put in, sounds like its not storing the memory, maybe you got a bad one. What do you guys think? and if so how do i properly install the IAC. i read the instructions and it says something about measuring this and adjusting that but it doesnt specify what to measure and what to adjust. And when i mentioned it to the actual mechanic who worked on my car and not the guy from behind the counter, he said you shouldnt have to touch it because its computer controlled. HELP PLEASE I NEED MY DAMN CAR RUNNING! hahaha

the Idle Air Control...IAC is computer controlled it should be two screws to remove it other than the plug that supplies signal and return means for computer purposes...its a simple plug n chug part just done over tighten the screws thats all u have to really worry about.

The TPS has two screws to remove it, the IAC screws in directly to the throttle body with the threads on the end of it. Do what this thread says..https://www.thirdgen.org/tpimod2. If it won't stay on, turn the idle up as far as it needs to go so it'll idle on its own, then do this procedure. Then keep doing it to get it down to a decent idle speed.
