Fuel pump
ok so i have an intank pump well im pretty sure i do its on a 87 trans am and id like to get a electric fuel pump that isnt intank would i have to take out the intank fuel pump to make it work cause i was reading other articles about it starving for fuel so anyone know what all id have to do to make it work.

You will have to remove the intake fuel pump. If you try and suck fuel through an inoperative electric pump it will vapor lock and make the fuel lean or come out not at all.
You can connect a fuel pump on the rubber end of the engine bay but the pumps are loud and then they get heated from the engine.
